We collect very little, and here is all of it.

No accounts, no analytics

There is nothing to sign up for on this site, and we do not run any analytics or advertising scripts. Reading these pages sends nothing about you to us beyond the ordinary web request described below.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, reason and message you type are forwarded to a private Slack channel that we read. That is the only place they go; we do not store them in a database or add you to any list. We use your email address only to reply to you.

Server logs

Like every website, our servers record standard request information — IP address, the page requested, and the time — for a short period so we can keep the site running and stop abuse (for example, the contact form limits how many messages one address can send in a minute). We do not use these logs to identify or profile readers.

Amazon affiliate links and cookies

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product links on this site go to Amazon.com. When you follow one, Amazon may set a cookie in your browser so that a purchase can be attributed to us; that cookie is set and governed by Amazon under its own privacy notice, and we never see who bought what.
